Chocolate Extravaganza

Chocolate Extravaganza 2009

As mentioned in our last post, sweet e. has been invited to participate in this year’s Chocolate Extravaganza! We expect to bring several samples of our best-selling treats… including the “Sweet Dreams” from the Holiday Sampler, as well as the Lincoln Bread. We will also donate our White Chocolate Strawberry cake for raffle! So come hungry! 🙂

The showcase will be in two weeks: May 7, 2009. If this piques your interest, stop by any of the listed vendors above for a ticket! Please come out and support this wonderful cause.

Coming up! A Chocolate Extravaganza!

We have recently been invited to participate in the 21st Annual Chocolate Extravaganza 2009, held at Temple Shalom in Wheeling, WV. This year’s theme is… you guessed it! CHOCOLATE! We are excited to be exhibitors at this wonderful event, which donates proceeds to Hadassah — a non-profit Jewish organization that supports two non-sectarian hospitals in Jerusalem, Israel. The showcase will be held from 4-7pm on May 7, 2009.

As an exhbitor, we’re asked to showcase our best desserts that highlight our use of chocolate. Twenty area choclatiers, bakers, and baristas participated last year, providing dessert and beverages to the attending crowd. Anyone purchasing a ticket receives a container upon entrance, which they can fill with the many free samples offered by the participating vendors. Nearly 500 guests attended last year’s Extravaganza, satisfying a sweet tooth and supporting a charitable cause at the same time.

So what will we be providing? We’re planning our menu right now, but hope you’re curious to find out!

Pistachio Chiffon Cake

A quick note from sweet e.!

Under the circumstances (and for your well-being!), we unfortunately will not be offering the Pistachio Chiffon Cake until the recall is over. As pistachio is one of our most favorite flavors in dishes, both savory and sweet, we will inform you when it goes back on the menu. Thanks and take care!

Tastes like Spring!

As the first official day of spring passed just two days ago, why not celebrate its first comings?! One of our favorite Spring Cakes, the White Chocolate Strawberry Cake is the perfect companion to a birthday party or picnic: a two-layer cake with white chocolate mousse filling, frosted with whipped cream icing and fresh strawberries.

Spring also brings new life and new opportunity! We’re excited about several projects we have in the works over the next few months, so stay tuned for more news!

Some of our favorite holiday flavors make an appearance on our new Holiday menu: gingerbread, hazelnut, peppermint, and chocolate, chocolate, chocolate! Plenty of cakes and pastries, in addition to the items on our previous menu, are great for gatherings and gift-givings. • November 8, 2008: Tri-State Filipino American Association Annual Ball, at Wheeling Island Racetrack and Gaming Resort. A 21 in one hand, and an ube cupcake in the other.
• November 11, 2008: Ohio County Medical Society Alliance, “Holiday Shopping Bazaar”. Noon to 4pm at Wheeling Country Club. Shopping for a good cause! A portion of proceeds will go towards health education and promotion within the Ohio Valley community.
